Willows's dynamic duo of Ulises Esparza and Chris Walter proved tough for Hamilton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Esparza threw for 77 yards and one touchdown and Walter had 60 yards receiving. Eduardo Briones helped Willows' passing attack out by catching one ball for 17 yards.
Live Oak's Romario Acosta and Aaron Pamma have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Acosta has thrown for 580 yards this season, while Pamma has 11 catches for 280 yards. Trinity's Cory Cook leads the league in rushing yards with 625.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Pierce takes on Mt. Shasta. The Bears' offense has scored 189 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Bears have allowed only 166 on the year.
A big matchup in Sacramento Valley this week will be when the Wolves take on Durham. Trinity is in third place, while Kevin York's team is in fourth place.
Jeremy Wardrip's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,311 from 7,751.
