Baseball Recap: LeFlore Takes a Loss

LeFlore lost against Williamson on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. LeFlore came up short against Williamson, falling 14-6. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amorion Sneed made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of LeFlore's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't). Amir Sneed also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Even though they lost, LeFlore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

LeFlore's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Williamson, they pushed their record up to 3-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LeFlore will head out to take on Blount at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Blount will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something LeFlore surely won't give up without a fight. As for Williamson, they will head out on the road to face off against Saraland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
