This season hasn't been kind to the Solvay Bearcats, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were dealt a 97-34 defeat at the hands of Marcellus on Monday. Solvay was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-10.
Marcellus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Kershaw, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Kershaw continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tucker Burnett, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Solvay's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Marcellus, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Solvay and McGraw will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th at. As for Marcellus, they will head out on the road to face off against Cazenovia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cazenovia and Marcellus are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
