The Riverside-Durham Pirates will head out to face off against the Enloe Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Riverside-Durham took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Chapel Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates won by a set and slipped past the Tigers 3-2.
Riverside-Durham wouldn't go down easily and took Chapel Hill into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 15-12.

Riverside-Durham's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jacob Feller, who had seven digs and three aces, and Noah Mecagni, who had seven digs and one block. Feller has been hot, having also posted 20 or more assists the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Enloe had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jets.
Enloe's got stronger as the match went on, holding Jordan-Matthews to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-12.
Riverside-Durham has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Enloe, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Riverside-Durham beat Enloe 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Eagles' Charlie Holovach, who had 14 aces.
