The Broomfield Eagles will head out to face off against the Palmer Ridge Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Broomfield 13, Palmer Ridge 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
Broomfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-3 win over Vista Ridge. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Broomfield relied on the efforts of Kashus Clarvoe, who gained 139 total yards and two touchdowns, and Slater Saunders, who rushed for 45 yards and one score. Clarvoe's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. Owen Lee was in the mix too, providing Broomfield with one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Broomfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lee, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Palmer Ridge strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mesa Ridge, sneaking past 19-16. The 19-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Palmer Ridge's defense and their seven sacks. Carter Charron refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 2.5 sacks all by himself.
Broomfield's record is now 9-2. As for Palmer Ridge, their record now sits at 11-0.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Broomfield has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 267 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Palmer Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 175.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Broomfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Palmer Ridge in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 32-23. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
