The Holly Springs Hawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Panola, falling 69-34. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Holly Springs still got an impressive performance from Kentravian Kinkle, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kinkle was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
Holly Springs' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Kossuth and 7-2 Independence (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.6% over those games). As for North Panola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Holly Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Panola is also done with their season.
