The Bertrand Vikings will square off against the Southern Valley Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Bertrand is ranked 176th, while Southern Valley is ranked 154th).
Last Saturday, Bertrand lost to Overton at home by a decisive 62-48 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jc Kehr, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thunder Nelson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southern Valley's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Arapahoe by a score of 49-36.
Bertrand's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Southern Valley, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Bertrand beat Southern Valley 49-38 when the teams last played on January 4th. Does Bertrand have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southern Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
