The First Academy got a great performance from  Kyle Hopper as he  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Hopper has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Roy Rodriguez and  Kinon Bastian did most of the damage at the plate:  Rodriguez  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run, while  Bastian  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those  two  doubles gave  Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Remo Indomenico, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
The First Academy's record is now 19-4. As for Windermere, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-6.
 The First Academy has already played their next matchup,  a  6-1  victory against Bishop Moore on the 10th. As for Windermere, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  6-1  win against Freedom on the 15th.
