The Mt. Salus Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 70-41 defeat at the hands of Sylva Bay Academy. Mt. Salus Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-21.
Sylva Bay Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Boyd, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Boyd has scored at least 25% of Sylva Bay Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Rogers, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals.
Mt. Salus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sylva Bay Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Salus Christian will take on Woodlawn Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Laurel Christian at 7:00 p.m.
