The Fredericksburg Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Blue Ridge Barons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Fredericksburg Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fork Union Military Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a hard 30-13 fall against the Blue Devils. Having soared to a lofty 61 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite their defeat, Fredericksburg Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Trip Blalock, who threw for 173 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 38 yards, was perhaps the best of all. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Nate Caesar, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Fredericksburg Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Cameron Bon-Ami was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 17 times he's played.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed seven in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Caesar, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Blue Ridge and Atlantic Shores Christian, and Atlantic Shores Christian kept the tradition alive.
