After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunrise Christian Academy, the Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They skirted past ISchool of Lewisville 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Cougar players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashton Taylor-Franklyn, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was David Iweze, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
The victory got Legacy School of Sport Sciences back to even at 8-8. As for iSchool of Lewisville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing R.W. Goines Stem Academy the next time they take the court. ISchool of Lewisville will head out to face R.W. Goines Stem Academy at TBD on Thursday, while Legacy School of Sport Sciences will host them on January 9, 2024.
