Coahulla Creek is 0-7 against Adairsville since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Coahulla Creek Colts will be playing at home against the Adairsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Coahulla Creek will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Coahulla Creek can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-9 victory over LaFayette at home. The win was just what Coahulla Creek needed coming off of a 44-7 loss in their prior contest.
Coahulla Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Ward, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Collins, who picked up 166 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Adairsville aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to six. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Bremen.
Adairsville can attribute much of their success to Jonathan Gough, who threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and Tre Winters, who picked up 211 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Winters' longest reception was for an incredible 98 yards. Jamarian Pullum was another key contributor, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Their wins bumped Coahulla Creek to 5-4 and Adairsville to 7-2.
Coahulla Creek lost to Adairsville at home by a decisive 48-33 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Coahulla Creek, Chris Roper (who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
