The Parkway Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cabrini Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
There was early excitement for Parkway Christian after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Cardinal Mooney Catholic who ended up claiming the real prize. Parkway Christian was just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Cardinal Mooney Catholic. Parkway Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parkway Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyler Maiorana, who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown, and Dj Quest who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown. Maiorana is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Cabrini fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down University Prep Science & Math 21-6 on Friday.
Cardinal Mooney Catholic's victory bumped their season record to 5-4 while Parkway Christian's defeat dropped theirs to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for Parkway Christian against Cabrini in their previous meeting back in August as the team secured a 50-21 victory. Will Parkway Christian repeat their success, or does Cabrini have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
