Fort Wayne Wayne came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Marion Giants with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Giants are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamoni Grayson, who went 6 of 14 en route to 14 points along with eight assists and four steals. Grayson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Marion's loss came despite strong showings from Nyomi Hahn and Shaniah Scott. Hahn went 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points, while Scott posted 13 points. That was a full 47.5% of Marion's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Fort Wayne Wayne pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Marion, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Wayne will challenge Fort Wayne Snider at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne Wayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. As for Marion, they will face off against Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
