Spencer County barely beat Southern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Trojans on Wednesday. Considering the Bears have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Spencer County, bringing their record up to 23-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Southern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season.

Spencer County will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kentucky Country Day at 5:30 p.m. As for Southern, they will venture away from home to square off against DeSales at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
