While East Chambers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over West Hardin on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.
Luke Hampton looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Tanner Salazar was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Hank Huff was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Anahuac's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for East Chambers, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Anahuac continue to outrun the ball?
Anahuac was able to grind out a solid victory over East Chambers in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 5-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
