Baseball Recap: Newberg Has No Trouble Against Mcnary

Newberg came out on top against McNary on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Tigers blew past the Celtics 12-6. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Parker Sellner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Sellner was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Judah Campos was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Lucas Vaughn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Newberg moved to 12-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for McNary, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newberg will face off against Forest Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McNary, they will challenge Sprague at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
