The Brackett Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 82-73 to Sabinal. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Joseph Contreras was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 42 points and 11 rebounds for Sabinal. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Contreras has scored all season. Ricardo Perez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 assists.
Brackett has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Sabinal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-11.
Brackett will head out on the road to square off against La Pryor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. La Pryor comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Sabinal, they will be playing at home against Falls City at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Falls City is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
