The Christ the King Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Christ the King ended up a good deal behind Ardrey Kell and lost 65-51. Christ the King has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cooper Ryan, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Ryan, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, even though North Iredell scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, Pine Lake Prep still came out on top. Pine Lake Prep walked away with a 72-64 win over North Iredell.
Robert Magner had a dynamite game for Pine Lake Prep, scoring 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Strickfaden, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Charlotte Catholic's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Christ the King's loss dropped theirs to 2-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Christ the King and Pine Lake Prep are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Christ the King hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 57.2 points per game. However, it's not like Pine Lake Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 59.7 per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run up the score up higher Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
Christ the King took their win against Pine Lake Prep in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 59-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christ the King since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
