The third road matchup was the charm for Manchester, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on the L.C. Bird Skyhawks with a sharp 16-3 win on Tuesday. The Lancers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Maddox Caddell was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Asher Blalock, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Manchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Manchester back to even at 2-2. As for L.C. Bird, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
