The St. John Lutheran Saints can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down Hart 2 Hart Academy 49-35. Winning is a bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 26% better than the opposition, as St. John Lutheran's was.
St. John Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cannon Patrick, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Bryce Disimile was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Hart 2 Hart Academy saw an underclassman step up: Daniel Bliffin scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Bliffin scored a full 28.6% of Hart 2 Hart Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
St. John Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Lutheran and Meadowbrook Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against First Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
