Indian Hills has gone 6-1 against West Milford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Braves will take on the Highlanders at 4:15 p.m. West Milford took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Indian Hills, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Indian Hills got the win against Mahwah by a conclusive 11-3. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by exactly eight runs.
Audrey Amoruso was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Amoruso was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Kayla Curtin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Isabella Adragna also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Indian Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Milford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of DePaul Catholic. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Highlanders have suffered since May 28, 2024.
West Milford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cassy Rubinsky, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
West Milford's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Indian Hills, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
Indian Hills came up short against West Milford in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
