Ryan Tate was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Thrasher is undefeated when Tate posts three or more hits, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Samuel Hughes, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walnut). They never let Potts Camp get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Thrasher, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.
