Clements and Falkville are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. The Clements Colts will be playing at home against the Falkville Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Falkville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Clements, who comes in off a win.
Clements took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Sheffield 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colts have posted since April 6, 2024.
Braxton Sims spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grayson Borden was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.
Clements hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheffield struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Falkville didn't have quite enough to beat East Lawrence on Saturday and fell 11-10.
Peyton Davis put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Briley Tomlin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.
Falkville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Clements, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Clements took their victory against Falkville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1. Will Clements repeat their success, or does Falkville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
