They really took it to Desert Heights Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 91-58 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but North Valley Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
North Valley Christian Academy was led to victory by Jethro Maerina and Bobby Rodriguez. Maerina scored 21 points along with four steals, while Rodriguez scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maerina has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zathan Ruffin, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North Valley Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-9 with that win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.86 points. As for Desert Heights Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
North Valley Christian Academy and San Pasqual Valley will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. San Pasqual Valley has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Desert Heights Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Anthem Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
