After losing to the Chiefland Indians the last time they met, the Lafayette Hornets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lafayette came out on top against Chiefland by a score of 58-49 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lafayette.
Lafayette's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Hill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tywan Williamson, who scored 6 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Lafayette now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chiefland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
