Volleyball Recap: Evanston Wins Going Away Against Grace

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bear Lake, Evanston was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Grace Grizzlies 3-0. The Devils not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 5, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Evanston was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-20.

Kyan Lawlar paced Evanston's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lawlar got some help from Afton Brown and her 33 assists. Lawlar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Evanston back to even at 1-1. As for Grace, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Evanston has already played their next match (against Kemmerer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grace, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bear Lake on the 29th.
