Lexington is 2-8 against Fieldcrest since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Lexington Minutemen will stay at home for another game and welcome the Fieldcrest Knights at 12:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Lexington didn't have too much trouble with Fisher at home as they won 49-32. The win was just what Lexington needed coming off of a 65-44 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Fieldcrest strolled past El Paso-Gridley with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 55-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fieldcrest.
Lexington's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13. As for Fieldcrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Lexington might still be hurting after the 65-44 loss they got from Fieldcrest in their previous meeting last Saturday. Can Lexington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
