Chowchilla hasn't had much luck against Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tribe will welcome the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Chowchilla got the win against Minarets by a conclusive 19-7. The Tribe haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Lexyss Sabin was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylee Vlot, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Avery Tomlinson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Chowchilla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, while Liberty put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Yosemite. The Hawks blew past the Badgers 15-0. The win was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Carley Hedstrom was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilah Uriarte, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Liberty pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Chowchilla, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chowchilla has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
