The Everglades Gators lost against the West Broward Bobcats back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Everglades fell 23-14 to West Broward. Everglades has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Everglades' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Duane Manor Jr., who picked up 145 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Everglades' defense sure didn't make it easy: West Broward's QB was sacked five times before it was all said and done. Kenley Israel was especially locked on to West Broward's QB and sacked him three times.
West Broward's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Morillo, who threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. Elijah DeWoskin and his 88 yards on the ground were also a key factor in West Broward's win.
Everglades' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for West Broward, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Broward has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome South Dade at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
