The Tri-State Christian Crusaders waltzed into their match  Thursday with five straight wins  but they left with six. It was close, but they capped 2023 with a  52-49 victory over Elkton. For Tri-State Christian, this counts as revenge for the   58-51 loss Elkton walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in December of 2022.
 It was another big night for  Sam Falko, who  scored 21 points along with nine  rebounds. The  match was  his 13th in a row with at least ten points.  John  Gabrielli was another key contributor,  scoring nine points along with five  assists.
 Tri-State Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Elkton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will  square off against Tower Hill at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Elkton is on the road again  on Friday and play against Aberdeen at 6:45  p.m.  on January 5, 2024. Aberdeen is coming into the  matchup on a three-game losing streak.
