The Harrisonville Wildcats had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 59-26 defeat at the hands of St. Michael the Archangel on Tuesday. Harrisonville lost against St. Michael the Archangel in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-33 score last time.
St. Michael the Archangel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lydia McVey led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Medlin, who scored 15 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Harrisonville's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Adrian the next time they take the court. St. Michael the Archangel will head out to face Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Harrisonville will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
