Fairview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They managed a 46-40 victory over the Baker Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Baker, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Malta at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Malta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge. Baker will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Custer County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
