Whiteland is 7-1 against Seymour since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Whiteland Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Seymour Owls at 7:30 p.m. Whiteland is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Whiteland might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Center Grove an easy 77-54 win. Whiteland has struggled against Center Grove recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Whiteland got a solid performance out of Jaskirat Banwait, who scored 21 points. The match was Banwait's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Gillespie, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Seymour earned a 54-46 win over Jennings County on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seymour.
Whiteland's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Whiteland couldn't quite finish off Seymour in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 57-54. Can Whiteland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
