The Palatine Pirates will head out to challenge the Prospect Knights at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Palatine will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Palatine is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hoffman Estates with a sharp 12-4 victory on Wednesday.

Brandon Ziebell looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.
On the hitting side, Adrian Santamaria was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Toby Peterson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Palatine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hoffman Estates only posted a batting average of .233.
Meanwhile, Prospect entered their tilt with Rolling Meadows on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.
Ryan Foley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Louie Caldrone, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Fouch, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
Palatine's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Prospect, their record now sits at 18-9-1.
Palatine came out on top in a nail-biter against Prospect when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
