It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the American Leadership Academy Patriots can now relate to. They fell 38-31 to Basha on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Demond Williams Jr. was his usual excellent self, throwing for 376 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown. Williams Jr. has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Noah Roberts did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 111 receiving yards.
American Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Basha, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
American Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Basha will square off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in the nation (Centennial is ranked 31st, while Basha is ranked 33rd).
