West Alameda County - Foothill recap October 29, 2013
Encinal scaled the state rankings by moving to 213 from 244 this week, the biggest jump in West Alameda County - Foothill. The Jets climbed the ranks as a result of beating Castro Valley 27-26.
Encinal extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Trojans, 27-26. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Jets' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jordan Parker contributed 68 yards.
Parker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Encinal bested Castro Valley.
Kevin Shaa was the best wideout in the league this week as the Jets topped Nic McMaster's team. Shaa tallied 1 reception for 11 yards.
Berkeley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Yellowjackets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Noah Suszckiewicz has thrown for 612 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Travis Dennis has 31 catches for 488 yards.
The top two teams in West Alameda County - Foothill will face off this week when first place Encinal takes on second place San Leandro. Encinal beat the Trojans last week, while San Leandro topped Berkeley.
The Pirates took down the Yellowjackets 56-24 last week, the largest margin of any game.
