Claremore hasn't had much luck against Collinsville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Zebras will challenge the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m.
Claremore is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Pryor on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Zebras took a blow against the Tigers, falling 51-20. The Zebras were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-8.

Claremore might have lost, but man, Cecil Garrett was a machine: he rushed for 102 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Garrett is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 102 every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Collinsville faced off against Tahlequah on Friday. The Cardinals walked away with a 35-23 win over the Tigers. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
A big part of Collinsville's win came down to the chemistry between Carter Vaughan and his top target Ben Daniels. Vaughan threw for 364 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes while Daniels picked up 147 receiving yards and three scores. Those 364 passing yards gave Vaughan a new career-high. A healthy portion of Vaughan's aerial production (92 yards to be exact) also went to Max Whitekiller, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Collinsville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Claremore, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Claremore has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 368.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like Collinsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 360 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Claremore won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, slipping by Collinsville 35-34. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Cardinals' Scott Rigby, who rushed for 188 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Zebras still be able to contain Rigby? There's only one way to find out.
