Warrensburg came out on top against the Golden Horde by a score of 52-41 on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 13 to 6 on the offensive boards, as Warrensburg did.
Warrensburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Cheney led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Cheney has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Steve Schloss was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Granville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liam Farrell. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Nathan Williams, who scored 12 points.
Warrensburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Granville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
