Huron and Aberdeen Central are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Huron is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Huron is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Douglas to the tune of 47-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.
Huron's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colt Culver, who threw for 217 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Landon Hulst helped Culver out on the ground, rushing for 121 yards and one score on only 13 carries.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen Central didn't have too much trouble with Mitchell on Friday as they won 28-13. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Kernels: they've now won five in a row.

Aberdeen Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ridley Waldo and Board. Board got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Huron's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Aberdeen Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Huron has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 162.7 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Aberdeen Central, though, as they've been averaging only 60.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Huron was able to grind out a solid win over Aberdeen Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 10-0. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
