Last Friday, Winslow Township never let their opponents score. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 victory over Cedar Creek. Given Winslow Township's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Cedar Creek is ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Winslow Township relied on the efforts of Deante Ruffin, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, and Kameron Brown, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Pennsauken fell victim to Vineland's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Fighting Clan by a score of 3-0. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Pennsauken couldn't push the score so high this time.
The win makes it two in a row for Winslow Township and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.5 points. As for Pennsauken, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Winslow Township came up short against Pennsauken in their previous meeting back in September of 2017, falling 19-12. Will Winslow Township have more luck at home instead of on the road?
