For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Aquinas and Westside meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Fightin' Irish came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in August.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Aquinas was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-6.

Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Westside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-20.

Aquinas and Westside could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Fightin' Irish (ranked 240th) will meet Alleluia Community (ranked 95th) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westside will take on Burke County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (419 vs. 178).
