Clark Montessori hasn't had much luck against Summit Country Day recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Cougars will challenge the Silver Knights at 12:00 p.m. Clark Montessori is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Clark Montessori needed a bit of extra time to put away New Miami. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 9-6. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ethan Ernst and Chase Williams were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Ernst struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Williams tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Ernst got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Williams went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Williams has become a key player for Clark Montessori: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Garvin Dixon was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Summit Country Day entered their tilt with Conner on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cougars 5-3. That's two games straight that the Silver Knights have won by exactly two runs.
Summit Country Day saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keller Minton, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Minton has hit this season.
Clark Montessori's record now sits at 11-8. As for Summit Country Day, their record is now 12-8.
Clark Montessori might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Summit Country Day when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
