Eastern Hancock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Christel House as they made off with a 13-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Royals considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Macy Martin and Nieko Engleking were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Martin tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Engleking pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. At the plate, Martin went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Engleking went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Engleking's first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lilli Ringer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Trackwell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Eastern Hancock hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Irvington Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-6 to Herron.
Emma Eaton and Tierra Millbrook stepped up to the plate in a big way. Eaton went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Millbrook went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Eastern Hancock now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Eastern Hancock took their victory against Irvington Preparatory Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2017 by a conclusive 22-3 score. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do Irvington Preparatory Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
