It was a good run, but the Sacred Heart Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomington.
Bloomington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khyli Proctor, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was Proctor's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzi Proctor, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Sacred Heart has fallen quite a ways from their 26-1 record last season and are now at 5-9. As for Bloomington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Sacred Heart will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Shiner at 12:00 p.m. Shiner is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Bloomington, they will challenge Schulenburg at 6:20 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Schulenburg has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Bloomington will arrive with seven straight wins.
