It was a good run, but the San Marcos Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 65-44 loss at the hands of Mission Hills. San Marcos has struggled against Mission Hills recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, San Marcos still got an impressive performance from Mazen El Bissat, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Derek Tuason, who scored eight points.
San Marcos' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for Mission Hills, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Marcos will take on Poway at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Poway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while San Marcos is ranked 182nd). As for Mission Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Del Norte at 7:00 p.m.
