El Camino Real barely beat Kennedy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. El Camino Real never let Kennedy get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Remy Glassman's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February.
On the hitting side, El Camino Real let Marisa Lopez and Amaya Perry run wild. Lopez went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one double, while Perry scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Senia Gutierrez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: El Camino Real kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Bishop Alemany made easy work of Chatsworth on Thursday and carried off an 11-0 win.
Kalie Peralta made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Peralta was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charlotte Riggen, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Yaretzi Santana also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
El Camino Real's record now sits at 6-7. As for Bishop Alemany, their record now sits at 9-3.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. El Camino Real hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Bishop Alemany struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
El Camino Real took their victory against Bishop Alemany when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for El Camino Real since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
