Boothbay has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Madison Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boothbay will be strutting in after a victory while Madison will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Richmond scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Boothbay still came out on top. Boothbay managed a 62-56 victory over Richmond. The victory was all the more spectacular given Boothbay's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Richmond is ranked 12th).
Meanwhile, Madison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-42 loss at the hands of Spruce Mountain. Madison has not had much luck with Spruce Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Boothbay's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Madison, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-5.
Boothbay strolled past Madison in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 63-49. Does Boothbay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
