Grant Community won the last time they faced Cary-Grove and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Evelo, who had 23 assists and two aces.

Grant Community's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Cary-Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-21.

Coincidentally, Grant Community and Cary-Grove will both be playing Saint Viator the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Lions at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
