Softball Recap: Edward Little Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hampden

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edward Little). Everything went their way against the Hampden Broncos on Monday as they made off with a 20-10 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Red Eddies have posted against the Broncos since April 21, 2017.

Edward Little got a massive performance out of Kylee Lebrun, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Nellie Feeney was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

Edward Little is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Hampden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edward Little will face off against Cony at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Hampden, they will welcome Skowhegan at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
